Pakistani Terrorist Farhatullah Ghoori Issues New Threats Against India

Ghoori Calls for Violence in Recent Video Farhatullah Ghoori, a designated terrorist living in Pakistan, has once again threatened India. In a video released on August 28, 2024, Ghoori called on his followers to carry out a series of violent attacks across India. He instructed his supporters to use pressure cookers to create bomb blasts on trains, derail trains in major cities such as Delhi and Mumbai, and target petroleum pipelines. Ghoori also urged his organization to kill Hindu leaders and create as much bloodshed as possible.

Notorious Past and Ongoing Suspicions

Ghoori has a long history of terrorist activities. He was involved in the 2002 attack on the Akshardham Temple in Gujarat, where more than 30 people were killed. His name also came up in the 2005 suicide attack on the task force office in Hyderabad. Intelligence agencies have linked him to the recent blast at the Rameswaram Cafe in Bangalore on March 1, 2024, which resulted in 10 injuries. Reports suggest that Ghoori, along with his son-in-law Shahid Faisal, manages a significant sleeper cell network in South India.

Indian Government’s Response and Counterterrorism Measures

In response to Ghoori’s threats, the Indian government has increased its security measures. The Home Ministry has noted that Ghoori recruits jihadis online, which has led to recent arrests of individuals associated with his network. The government is actively working to counteract Ghoori’s plans and dismantle his sleeper cells, as his threats have intensified following the ongoing actions against his network. The heightened alert aims to prevent potential attacks and ensure public safety amid the renewed threats from this high-profile terrorist.
