Inter Miami faced a challenge when defender Hector Martinez was sent off with a red card in the 28th minute, leaving them with ten men. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Miami managed to hold their lead, with Rojas scoring again in the 59th minute. Toronto’s Insigne added another penalty before an own goal by Miami’s Noah Allen in the 79th minute brought the final score to 4-3.

The victory advances Inter Miami to the Round of 16, where they will face the winner of Friday’s match between Sporting Kansas City and Columbus Crew. Miami, leading the MLS standings with 53 points, is managing well even in the absence of star Lionel Messi.
