Prices for 19 kg Cylinders Increase Across Major Cities
In a recent update, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have announced a price hike for 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders, effective September 1. The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has increased by Rs 39, bringing the new rate to Rs 1691.50. Despite this adjustment, there has been no change in the price of the 14 kg domestic gas cylinder.
New Prices Across Major Cities
Following the price hike, the updated rates for commercial LPG cylinders in various cities are as follows:
– Delhi: Rs 1691.50
– Mumbai: Rs 1644 (up from Rs 1605)
– Kolkata:Rs 1802.50 (up from Rs 1764.50)
– Chennai: Rs 1855 (up from Rs 1817)
Recent Price Trends
This increase follows a previous adjustment in August, when the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was raised by Rs 8.50, making the Delhi rate Rs 1652.50. In July, however, prices had decreased by up to Rs 30, with the Delhi price falling to Rs 1646.
Impact of Fluctuating Prices
The ongoing fluctuations in commercial LPG cylinder prices reflect the broader trends in the global oil market and domestic supply chain factors. While domestic cylinder prices have remained stable, commercial cylinder costs have seen periodic increases, affecting businesses and industries relying on LPG.
