Jasdeep Singh Gill Named New Patron and Sant Satguru

In a significant development for the spiritual community of Dera Radha Swami Beas, Gurinder Singh Dhillon has officially named Jasdeep Singh Gill as his successor. Effective from September 2, 2024, Gill will take over as the new patron and Sant Satguru of Radha Swami Satsang Beas Society, succeeding Dhillon in this esteemed role.

Leadership Transition Announced

The transition was confirmed through a letter addressed to all Sevadaar-Incharges, in which Dhillon, the revered head of the Dera, formally appointed Gill. Gill, who holds a PhD, will inherit the responsibilities and spiritual leadership of the Dera, including the authority to confer Naam Diksha, a crucial rite within the Radha Soami tradition.

Dhillon’s Health and Legacy

Gurinder Singh Dhillon, who has been dealing with health challenges including cancer and heart disease, expressed profound gratitude for the unwavering support he has received from the Sangat, the Dera’s spiritual congregation. In his announcement, Dhillon emphasized his wish for Gill to receive the same level of affection and support from the community as he has during his tenure.

Dera’s Global Influence and Charitable Endeavors

Founded in 1891 by Baba Jaimal Singh, Radha Soami Satsang Beas has expanded into a major spiritual and charitable organization with a global footprint. The Dera now operates centers in 90 countries across continents including the USA, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and various African nations. It encompasses over 4,000 acres of land, featuring extensive facilities such as a 48-acre langar hall, numerous inns, guest hostels, and accommodation sheds for devotees.

The Dera is also dedicated to humanitarian work, running three hospitals that offer free medical treatment. This charitable service extends to residents within a 35-kilometer radius of the Dera, ensuring that those in need have access to essential healthcare without financial burden.

As Jasdeep Singh Gill steps into his new role,the Dera Radha Swami Beas community, both locally and internationally, anticipates a continued era of spiritual growth and service under his leadership. The appointment marks a pivotal moment in the history of the Dera, promising to uphold and advance its longstanding traditions and philanthropic missions.
