India vs New Zealand 3rd Test Team India Faces Strict Training Regimen After Consecutive Defeats

India vs New Zealand 3rd Test Team India Faces Strict Training Regimen After Consecutive Defeats

In the wake of two consecutive defeats against New Zealand, Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir has adopted a strict approach to training. Following a disappointing performance in the first two Tests, where India lost by 8 wickets and 113 runs, the team management has mandated that all players participate in training sessions, even during the Diwali festivities.

India’s struggles have drawn significant criticism, with key players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli failing to deliver in both matches. The team’s inability to secure a win has raised questions about the leadership and performance of the squad, prompting the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to take decisive action.

According to reports from the Indian Express, training sessions are scheduled for October 30 and 31, and attendance is compulsory for all players, including stars like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah. This marks a departure from previous practices where certain players were given exemptions. Now, no player will be allowed to skip training, regardless of the holiday.

After a brief two-day break following the defeat in the Pune Test, most players and support staff have traveled to Mumbai in preparation for the final match of the series. The third Test is set to take place at the Wankhede Stadium, where India has historically performed well, winning 12 out of 26 Tests.

With the series already lost, Team India aims to salvage pride in the final match against New Zealand. The stakes are high as they look to leverage their home advantage at the Wankhede Stadium, where they have seen considerable success in the past. Fans will be hoping for a turnaround as the team prepares to hit the training ground hard before The critical encounter.
