The recall follows the FDA’s detection of Salmonella bacteria in environmental samples from the company. Further investigation through whole genome sequencing connected these samples to an ongoing Salmonella outbreak.

These eggs were distributed in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan through both retail stores and food service channels.
