NBEMS Declares NEET PG 2024 Results and Cutoff Marks
The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the results for the NEET PG 2024 exam. How to Check Your NEET PG 2024 Results
To check your NEET PG 2024 results:
1. Go to the official NBEMS website http://nbe.edu.in.
2. Select the NEET-PG option.
3. Click on the NEET-PG result PDF file.
4. A PDF file will open, showing your percentile and rank.
Cutoff Marks for NEET PG 2024
The cutoff marks for different categories have been set as follows:
– General/EWS Category: 50th percentile
– SC/ST/OBC Categories: 40th percentile
– UR Divyang Candidates: 45th percentile
Candidates who meet or exceed these cutoff marks are eligible for counseling. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and state counseling authorities will conduct the NEET PG counseling. The schedule for All India Quota (AIQ) counseling will be announced soon at [mcc.nic.in](http://mcc.nic.in).
Normalization Method for NEET PG 2024
The NEET PG 2024 results have been evaluated using a normalization method:
– Top Score in Each Shift: Assigned a 100 percentile.
– Percentile Calculation: Based on the highest score, with other candidates’ scores adjusted accordingly. Percentiles are calculated up to seven decimal places to minimize clustering effects and ties.
– Tie-Breaking Rule: In cases of a tie in percentiles, the older candidate is ranked higher.
Technical Issues During the Exam
The NEET PG 2024 exam faced some technical delays:
– First Shift: Delays of up to 1 hour 45 minutes at two centers and less than 30 minutes at three centers.
– Second Shift: Delays of up to 55 minutes at one center and less than 30 minutes at four centers.
Attendance Statistics
– First Shift: Out of 1,14,276 registered candidates, 1,07,959 appeared, with 6,317 absent.
– Second Shift: Out of 1,14,264 registered candidates, 1,08,177 appeared, with 6,087 absent.
