Olympic Sensation Kim Yeji Lands Acting Role as Assassin in New Series

Kim Yeji From Olympic Shooter to Action Star

South Korean pistol shooter Kim Yeji, whose remarkable composure captivated audiences at the Paris Olympics, is set to make her acting debut as an assassin. The 32 year old athlete earned a silver medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event this past July, quickly rising to internet fame with her signature style wire-rimmed shooting glasses and a baseball cap.

Kim’s viral moments during the Olympics caught the attention of many, including tech mogul Elon Musk, who tweeted, “She should be cast in an action movie. No acting required!” This newfound fame has propelled her into the entertainment world, where she will star in “Crush,” a short-form spinoff of the global film project “Asia.”

In this exciting venture, Kim will share the screen with Indian actress and influencer Anushka Sen. A spokesperson from Seoul-based Asia Lab expressed enthusiasm about the dynamic partnership, highlighting the potential for “a killer duo” on screen.

Since claiming her Olympic medal, Kim has continued to capture public interest. A viral clip from the Baku World Cup in May has led to an outpouring of fan art, memes, and creative edits set to popular K-pop music. Recognizing her multifaceted talent, Kim signed with a South Korean talent agency in August to navigate her burgeoning career in entertainment. Recently, she made headlines with a striking photoshoot for Louis Vuitton, further solidifying her status as a style icon.

As Kim Yeji transitions from athlete to actress, her journey is one to watch, promising thrilling performances and continued fan engagement.
