The plane was carrying 62 individuals, including 58 passengers and 4 crew members, on its journey from Cascavel in Parana state to Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport.

 

Crash Details

The crash took place in a residential area, where the plane reportedly collided with a cluster of trees before crashing to the ground. The impact generated a significant fireball and a thick cloud of black smoke, as evidenced by videos that have quickly spread across social media platforms. These disturbing images depict the plane in flames and the area engulfed in smoke, but they have yet to clarify the full extent of the damage or the number of casualties.

 

Emergency Response

The Sao Paulo state fire department confirmed the incident on social media, stating that seven fire crews were deployed to the crash site to manage the situation and assist any survivors. The local fire brigade has also reported that smoke was visible coming from the front part of the plane, but the exact cause of the crash is still unknown.
