Modi Arrives in Kerala, Plans Aerial Survey and Relief Assessment
Kannur, Aug 10 :Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Kerala today to visit the landslide-stricken areas of Wayanad. His plane touched down at Kannur Airport around 11 a.m. where he was greeted by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
From the airport, Modi is scheduled to travel to Wayanad by helicopter to conduct an aerial survey of the affected regions. He will be briefed by rescue teams on their ongoing efforts and will inspect the relief operations in place.
Modi to Meet Victims and Evaluate Relief Efforts
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will tour relief camps and hospitals to meet with victims and those evacuated from the landslide areas. Following these visits, he will chair a review meeting to discuss the scale of the disaster and the effectiveness of the ongoing relief measures.
