Guru Emphasizes Civilization Over Borders in Response to Ongoing Atrocities In a recent statement, spiritual guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of the Isha Foundation, has condemned the escalating violence in Bangladesh, calling for immediate intervention and a detailed documentation of the atrocities. Sadhguru’s remarks highlight the need to prioritize cultural and civilizational ties over the constraints of national borders.
Sadhguru’s Strong Statement on Violence
Reacting sharply to the violence that has plagued Bangladesh, Sadhguru asserted, “It is imperative to immediately stop the heinous atrocities being committed in Bangladesh. However, it is equally important to document these crimes in detail.” He emphasized that contemporary national boundaries are not absolute and that cultural and civilizational bonds should guide India’s response. “India must be bound not merely by the rationality of borders but by the broader realities of a civilization that is more than 75 years old,” he added.
Ongoing Crisis and International Response
Despite international outcry and calls for action, the situation in Bangladesh remains dire. The recent violence has targeted Hindu minorities, with reports of numerous casualties, property destruction, and severe human rights violations. In light of these events, there is growing demand from the global community for immediate measures to address and halt the violence.
Bangladesh Government’s Response
Brigadier General (Retired) M Sakhawat Hussain, Home Affairs Advisor to Bangladesh’s Interim Government, has publicly addressed the situation. He stated, “We have issued clear instructions. It is the foremost duty of the majority community to protect their minority brothers. If they fail in this duty and are instead preoccupied with religious practices, they will be held accountable for the security lapses.”
Calls for Global Intervention
As the violence continues, there is a rising chorus of voices calling for international intervention and support for the affected communities. Sadhguru’s remarks reflect a broader concern about the need for a compassionate and unified response to protect human rights and uphold civilizational values.
This ongoing crisis in Bangladesh underscores the urgent need for both national and international efforts to address and resolve the violence, ensuring the protection and dignity of all affected individuals.
