Trump's Future Will 2028 Be in the Cards?

Trump on 2028 Ambitions “No, I Don’t” See Another Run

In a recent interview with Sharyl Attkisson on the Full Measure television show, former President Donald Trump expressed uncertainty about his political future. When asked if he would consider running for president again in 2028 should he lose in November, Trump firmly stated, “No, I don’t. I don’t see that at all.” He added, “Hopefully, we’re going to be successful” in the current race.

As the election draws near, the polling landscape has shifted. Kamala Harris currently leads Trump in many head-to-head surveys, following a period where Trump held a significant advantage over Joe Biden. The race remains tight, particularly in crucial battleground states that will be pivotal for victory.

During the interview, Trump was asked about potential roles for notable figures like Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his administration. Trump emphasized that he hasn’t made any formal deals yet, citing it as “not appropriate” at this stage. However, he outlined potential areas for each individual.

Trump praised Kennedy’s insights on health and environmental policies, noting his advocacy for reduced chemical use in other countries that yield healthier populations. Kennedy, who recently supported Trump after suspending his independent campaign, could play a significant role in these areas.

Trump referred to Gabbard as a “common sense person” and highlighted her military background. Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, has expressed her willingness to serve in a potential Trump administration, specifically in foreign policy.

Regarding Musk, Trump lauded his capabilities in identifying government inefficiencies. “Elon is Elon,” he remarked, noting Musk’s knack for cutting costs and his commitment to reducing waste in government operations. Trump has proposed establishing a “government efficiency commission” to tackle these issues.

Despite Trump’s optimism, the campaign faces significant hurdles, including misinformation and challenges from powerful entities aiming to shape narratives. Nevertheless, Trump’s focus remains on rallying support as he navigates the complexities of the upcoming election. As the election approaches, all eyes will be on how these dynamics unfold and whether Trump can maintain his lead in an increasingly competitive landscape.
