**"BJP MLA Nitesh Rane Faces Backlash for Threatening to 'Beat Up' Muslims in Mosques"**

BJP MLA Nitesh Rane Faces Legal Action Over Inflammatory Speeches

FIRs Filed in Ahmednagar and Shrirampur

Maharashtra: BJP MLA Nitesh Rane is under legal scrutiny following accusations of delivering inflammatory speeches that have reportedly hurt religious sentiments. Two FIRs have been lodged against him one at Shrirampur police station and another at Topkhana police station for his provocative statements made on separate occasions.

Controversial Speech at Rally Sparks Outrage

The controversy began after a rally was held in Ahmednagar to support Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj, who had previously made controversial comments about the Prophet Muhammad. Following the rally, Rane allegedly made a provocative statement threatening violence against Muslims. He declared, “If anyone speaks against our Ramgiri Maharaj, we will come to mosques and beat them up one by one.” This speech has led to the filing of FIRs against him.

AIMIM Leader Accuses BJP of Inciting Communal Violence

In response to these remarks, marches have been organized across various districts both in support of and against Ramgiri Maharaj. The Sakal Hindu Samaj, led by Rane, conducted a rally in Ahmednagar to show support for Maharaj, further escalating the situation. AIMIM leader Waris Pathan has alleged that the BJP is deliberately inciting communal violence to influence the upcoming elections.

Police Summon Rane for Questioning

The Topkhana police have issued a notice to Nitesh Rane, summoning him for questioning as the investigation into his statements continues. The legal and political implications of this case are unfolding as authorities look into the charges and the broader impact on communal relations in the region.
